2018 Supply Chain Visibility Survey Report

This report highlights the state of supply chain visibility. Based on the findings from a proprietary industry-wide survey, the report reveals how the current on-demand consumer mindset is putting more pressure on retailers and brands to embrace the technology that provides real-time information on the status of their goods.

 

Findings include:

  • 71% of respondents reported that supply chain blind spots cost retailers 5% in profits
  • 65% of retailers hold 3 weeks or more of safety stock because they said they have poor visibility into late or early shipments
  • 32% experience late product shipments up to 75% of the time

Respondents’ feedback illustrates the ways in which a lack of visibility into the supply chain often results in either costly overstocks or missed sales opportunities when goods are out of stock.
