TradeStone Software has been recognized as one of the top Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts. In a list developed by The Commonwealth Institute (TCI) and its partner, the Boston Globe Magazine, TradeStone was ranked 34th out of 100 women-led companies in the state.
TradeStone ranked highest among all IT services and technology companies—with organizations such as Constant Contact, Data Intensity, Axcelis Technologies, Edgewater Technology and Massachusetts Technology Collaborative also on the list.
TradeStone also received recognition as a Gold Star Innovator, scoring exceptionally high in the innovation category.
Sue Welch, CEO of TradeStone, said “Massachusetts is a great breeding ground for technology and women led businesses. Being able to attract exceptional talent has been the key to TradeStone’s success and growth.”
The ranking was based off of a formula devised by the Boston Globe magazine, which took into account a number of factors, including: revenue, operating budget, number of full-time employees in the state, workplace and management diversity and innovative projects.
These 100 organizations had a total revenue of $73 billion last year—a clear indication of how women influence Massachusetts’s economy.
“It’s no surprise to us that women are the fuel helping drive the economic engine in Massachusetts,” said Aileen Gorman, executive director of TCI.“There is no sector where women leaders are not represented; we and the Boston Globe Magazine are excited to celebrate this, and we hope this al o inspires other women to strive for leadership positions in our region.”
