Apparel Magazine has named Ascena Retail Group a 2015 Top Innovator for its best-in-class implementation of TradeStone’s product innovation platform. This year marks Apparel’s 8th annual Innovators Award which honors companies in the apparel industry for demonstrating innovation and excellence though technology, new products or other outstanding executed business strategy.

“Ascena Retail Group’s use of TradeStone technology demonstrates how an apparel company can use an IT implementation as a vehicle to help develop a business strategy,” said Jordan Speer, Apparel Magazine editor in chief. “This is a progressive approach to project implementations and it’s why Ascena Retail Group made the list.”

TradeStone partnered with Ascena Retail Group to implement a single, collaborative platform to provide a “single version of the truth” across their global retail community of designers, buyers, agents, suppliers and supply chain partners. TradeStone’s platform powers the end-to-end visibility and control necessary for Ascena to optimize business processes, limit compliance risk, drive growth, support the company’s ongoing acquisition strategy, avoid unnecessary cost and eliminate disparate systems and tools.

“It’s a true honor to be recognized alongside some the world’s leading apparel brands for this prestigious award,” said Jennifer Hunter, VP of Operations for Ascena Global Sourcing (AGS).

“When we first set out, we thought we were just doing a system implementation project, but it turns out, it was much more than that,” said Hannah Schmitz, Director of Systems for AGS. “What we really did was build a global community devoted to changing how we streamline our implementation methodology and product innovation processes to take our business to a new level. We are delighted to call TradeStone our trusted partner and this award validates a lot of hard work toward a single, shared vision,” added Schmitz.
