Director, Industry Consulting

The Director, Industry Consulting, North America spearheads the pre-sales function in the NA region. Industry Consulting is an active participant in the sales cycle at Bamboo Rose. This role requires deep industry expertise and understanding. Our Industry Consultants strive to become trusted advisers to our customers while delivering on the complete presales value cycle: from account planning and demand generation activity, to diagnostics, assessments, presentations, business case development, and demonstrations. In addition, this role will have a close working  relationship with product and marketing to give input into our industry model, and he or she will work with product on the introduction of new capabilities and releases to ensure our presentations of product align with our marketing message and GTM strategy.

Key Functions and Requirements

  • Work collaboratively to establish Industry Consulting strategy and best practices
  • Lead, mentor, and development Industry Consulting team members
  • Establish strong executive level relationships with prospective and existing clients
  • Support demand generation events for prospects – usually in the form of virtual or face-to-face presentations and/or demos
  • Coordinate and respond to customer RFIs/RFPs
  • Participate in account strategy sessions
  • Meet with customers, conduct assessments, and determine if Bamboo Rose is a right fit
  • Deliver presentations and demo content effectively
  • Develop Bamboo Rose-specific value proposition hypotheses that clearly articulate “Why do something? Why now? Why Bamboo Rose?”
  • Identify business improvement opportunities and express the differentiated business case of implementing Bamboo Rose
  • Deliver webcasts and live demonstrations, including configuration and data set-ups that fit specific customer requirements
  • Communicate customer’s business requirements to the implementation team to ensure smooth transition from presales to implementation

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • 8+ years of demonstrated pre-sales/solutions experience at a major business application software company
  • Work experience or exposure to retail or brand manufacturing industries preferred
  • Knowledge of competitive retail technology solutions
  • Ability to conduct and present solution assessment engagements, including business case generation
  • Ability to build a strong working relationship with prospects and sales teams
  • Exhibit credibility, charisma, and passion in all customer-facing presentations
  • Possess high integrity, a can-do attitude, teamwork, and strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage, mentor, and develop teams
  • Up to 50% travel
  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
