Director, Strategic Accounts

Position Summary

This person will have overall responsibility in driving Bamboo Rose’s Customer Care Program – to establish and foster trusted partnership relations with existing clients through exceptional delivery of industry leading products/ solutions and services, and continuous maintenance of executive-level relationships; develop business opportunities for license and services upsell; seek client references for new sales accounts, and ensure select key clients are continuously involved in Bamboo Rose’s Customer Advisory Board, executive thought leadership workshops and other relevant marketing programs.

Key Functions and Responsibilities

  • Co-facilitate transition with Sales Director of account ownership from sales stage to account management stage (Customer Care). Establish relations with client senior management team and partner with Bamboo Rose Consulting Services Directors to ensure delivery of services to scope and budgets, address critical issues and establish on-going cadence (e.g. Steering Committee meetings)
  • Facilitate client facing and/or internal meeting to address critical project issues escalated
  • Develop Account plans outlining detailed client profiles, client ROI targets and results, business development initiatives and strategy to close up-sell opportunities. Minimally meet upsell $ targets
  • Organize Bamboo Rose/ Client Road-Map Vision workshops or Solution Optimization initiative. This will be conducted in partnership with the appropriate SME’s in the Consulting Services organization. Key outcome of such a workshop would be to establish series of initiatives for Bamboo Rose and client to pursue through the year. Lead efforts to establish scope, define benefits/value ROI case, scope and project approach. Responsible for sales cycle to upsell the opportunity
  • Work with SVP Global Strategic Accounts and other Bamboo Rose Executives to develop business case and marketing plans for new types of solution or packaged services offerings that would benefit the client base and would serve as a new revenue stream for Bamboo Rose
  • Monitor and manage all on-going license and maintenance contractual obligations e.g. increase in maintenance charges per SLAs, additional user licenses, etc. Further, work with clients to address late invoice payments

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of a Bachelor Degree, Masters or MBA preferred
  • 10+ years experience either in Retail industry, Consulting, or Retail Technology
  • Experience in defining and managing large software or business transformation programs. Aptitude to gain strong conceptual understanding of the Bamboo Rose platform in order to drive efforts to establish client road-map vision initiatives
  • Experience in positioning and selling projects/ initiatives.  Experience with solution-selling sales methodology or similar preferred
  • Strong executive presence and relationship skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Team-oriented
  • Self-starter, flexible, and have the ability to work with varying levels of management
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

Director, Industry Consulting

Position Summary

The Director of Industry Consulting is an active participant in the sales cycle at Bamboo Rose. The Director of Industry Consulting strives to become a trusted advisor to customers while delivering on the complete presales value cycle: from account planning and demand generation activity, to diagnostics/assessments, presentations, business case development, and demonstrations. Position located out of our Boston area offices or out of the Mid-West.

Key Functions and Responsibilities

  • Support demand generation events for prospects – usually in the form of virtual or face-to-face presentations and/or demos
  • Coordinate and respond to customer RFIs/RFPs
  • Participate in account strategy sessions
  • Meet with customers, conduct assessments, and learn enough about them to determine Bamboo Rose fit and how to deliver presentation and demo content most effectively
  • Develop Bamboo Rose-specific value proposition hypotheses that clearly articulate “why do something, why now, why Bamboo Rose?”
  • Identify business improvement opportunities and express the differentiated business case of implementing Bamboo Rose
  • Deliver webcasts and live demonstrations including configuration and data set up fit specific customer requirements
  • Communicate the customer’s business requirements to the implementation team to ensure smooth transition from presales to implementation

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • 7+ years of demonstrated presales experience at a major application software company
  • Work experience in Retail or Brand Manufacturing preferred
  • Knowledge of competitive PLM and sourcing solutions
  • Ability to conduct and present solution assessment engagements including business case generation
  • Ability to build a strong working relationship with prospects and sales teams
  • Exhibit credibility, charisma, and passion in all customer-facing presentations
  • Possess high integrity, a can-do attitude, teamwork, and strong problem solving skills

Position Summary

The Sales Director is responsible for sales and business development across the western region of North America. The ideal person must demonstrate expertise in the retail sector and possess a track record of sales success.

Key Functions and Responsibilities 

  • To be able to profile and secure access C Level executives within target organizations
  • To accurately position the Bamboo Rose value proposition in business and retail terms
  • To demonstrate powerbase selling techniques and develop appropriate sales strategies and activities to ensure a successful and efficient sales campaign
  • To develop and cultivate alliance relationships with retail consultancy practices
  • To co-ordinate and orchestrate the sales account teams within Bamboo Rose

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • 5+ years experience selling complex and sophisticated business software
  • Knowledge of the retail sector specifically PLM sourcing or supply chain
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Highly motivated and success driven
  • Strong academic credentials
