We are less than two weeks from NRF Retail’s BIG Show in New York City (January 14-16), and with so much offered at the show, it’s easy to get lost in the shuffle. Our team has attended NRF for the past several years and we have some expert tips on getting the most out of the event – without losing too much sleep or overdosing on caffeine.
Know your objectives
With any major industry show or event, you need to have a solid reason why you’re attending. Professional education and development? Networking? Firmly establish what success looks likes at the end of the show and how you will measure that success – then plan an itinerary that gets you to the end result. Want to beef up your knowledge about the latest trends in retail? Don’t miss Sarah Halzack’s presentation on Sunday. Trying to select a new PLM and Marketplace partner? Make sure you talk to a Bamboo Rose representative. Driven to decorate your office with NRF SWAG? Map a circuitous route around the show floor.
Have a plan
Once you have your event goals in mind, it’s time to work backward and figure out the best way to navigate the event accordingly. If you’re going to NRF in the hopes of getting a look at new retail technologies and trends, make sure to hit up the Innovation Lab. If you’re going for education, thoroughly review the agenda, speakers and additional programing options, then map out your schedule.
Pro tip: know your limits and be realistic. You may want to try and attend every session and have some facetime with every speaker, but chances are that won’t happen, so prioritize.
Visit Bamboo Rose!
No NRF trip is complete without saying hi to the Bamboo Rose team! Make sure to visit us at booth #1938 on level 3. We’re going to be discussing the challenges brands face around B2B marketplace, intelligent PLM, sourcing, global trade management and more. We’re also giving away two Google Homes per day, so stop by to enter the drawings. If you want a dedicated, one-on-one conversation to dive deeper into our platform’s capabilities and how you can discover, develop, and deliver products at consumer speed, feel free to schedule some time with us.
“Every year, I look forward to the conversations I have with retailer leaders who are looking for a better way to meet their customer’s needs. It’s great to have the opportunity to discuss how Bamboo Rose is helping their peers thrive in the new retail economy. I can’t wait to make the same connections this year at the show,” said Peter Mudgett, sales director at Bamboo Rose.
All in all, NRF comes with some amazing opportunities to learn about the future of retail and connect with some of the brightest minds in the industry. Don’t forget to soak up all the information you can and have fun along the way. Follow us on Twitter for live updates during the show and don’t forget to stop by our booth. We’ll see you there!
